Tomb of the Prophet Nabi Ayoub
The tomb of Nabi Ayoub, the prophet Job, is located 40 km from Salalah on top Ittin, the behind the city. Reaches a paved road through the mountain hills dotted with farms, particularly attractive during the monsoon season. Nabi Ayoub's relics are preserved in the tomb, open to the public and a small garden leading to the entrance of the tomb, built as a small domed building. Next to the tomb, the small stone mosque was being used by Nabi Ayoub for your prayers. It is a place of pilgrimage for Muslims and Christians, is required barefoot and women have to veil their heads.
Salalah Salalah Museum has a museum that is part of the National Center for Culture, located near the Office of the Ministry of State and Governor of Dhofar. In the exposure Al Musnad writings, a collection of sculptures, animals, plants and coins dating from the 11th century.
Al Baleed
Two related streams that run parallel to the coast, creating an island where a city known as Dhufa, founded in the twelfth and sixteenth century. The ruins of this magnificent city can visit the archaeological site of Al Baleed Haffa District of Salalah. He was surrounded by water and by massive walls with towers and bridges. Marbat
The city of Marbat, formally the capital of Dhofar, is 68 km east of Salalah. The name comes from Al Khail Marbat which translated literally means the place where horses are tied. The place was famous for the breeding and export of horses as the incense. Now it is famous for the export of dried fish. With picturesque bays and inlets, Marbat has both an old and a new port. The strong Marbat has been partially renovated.
Taqah
32 km of Salalah on the coast, is the third largest city of Dhofar, Salalah and after Thumrayt. Taqah Marbat are two cities and the fishing industry with ancient forts and the old and typical houses of Dhofar. The blue waters of Taqah are of an immense scenic beauty. Taqah is famous for fishing for sardines, which are dried and used as fodder for livestock and fertilizer.
Teyq
Teyq is probably the largest sinkhole in the world. It is approximately a square area of \u200b\u200b1 km on each side and about 250 meters deep. Surrounded by vertical walls of rock, located at the intersection of the Wadi Wadi Sheraa Thirrat and on the south side. Teyq is located about 9 km north-east of Tawi Atta. It is best to get there from the north taking the coast road at km 24 from Maamourah.
Wadi Darbat
At 10 km from Taqah, lies the charming Darbat Wadi, a natural park with waterfalls, lakes and mountains, caves, wildlife and lush vegetation. From the natural arc, it has a breathtaking view of the coast and the valley of Darbat. The caves are naturally decorated with stalactites and stalagmites, some walls are painted by shepherds.
Mughsayl
Mughsayl, located 45 kilometers west of Salalah, boasts a magnificent stretch of sand, punctuated by cliffs and heads formed in the limestone, where water sprays and columns can reach a height of 30 meters. Especially at high tide, the sea explodes in a fiery on the cliff, revealing many heads. The landscape along the coast where the mountains plunge into the sea is spectacular. An area of \u200b\u200babundant bird species.
Thumrayt
Thumrayt is the second largest city of Dhofar at about 80 km from Salalah. In the past Thumrayt was an important center for the caravan routes through the Arabian Peninsula. The frankincense trees grow in abundance in the extensive desert area.
Sadh Sadh is located 135 km east of Salalah, sheltered from the monsoon with the cliffs and bays sabbiose.La coast and beaches that are suitable for camping to boating. Sadah is a fishing village. There is an old fort at 7 km east from the city on the ruins of Muhal.
Islands Halaaniyaat
Uzor Al Halaaniyaat or Halaaniyaat Islands are a group of islands about 50 km from the coast of Hasik. Beautiful beaches dot the islands that are home to a wide variety of migratory birds, a paradise for birdwatchers.
