THE INN OF COURT - Via Mazzini 72, Alzano Lombardo (Bg) - 035 / 513007 - www.locandadellacorte.it - info@locandadellacorte.it
Dear friends, no more talk and begin to turn to the premises (ps. worked a little 'imagination, and if this were not enough, check out the photo). ... Our journey begins with one of the local Alzano that, right now, I was most impressed and left devoid of adjectives. Walking around the streets of downtown, I happened to get lost in a beautiful courtyard that apparently presented itself to me as a modern and daughter of our times. Looking for a way out that brings me back to the road, I came across a club called "The Inn of Court" owned by Mr. Flavio and his sons. Struck by the elegance outside, I started to peek inside, drawn the curtains and paintings that dim lights let you see.
entering I found myself in one of the historic excellence of our province, furnished with taste and a lover of classic appreciate at first sight. The first thing, right now, hit me was a beautiful restored wooden counter, responsible for welcoming guests. The carpets, curtains, were typical entry to frame a structure, but so exquisitely restored, having led to the passage of time.
Curious by nature, I asked Mr. Flavio some info on the period to which the local slope, was answered that dates from the early '600 and for this reason, during the restructuring had been due to follow scrupulously the parameters dictated by the "Fine Arts".
Note that, again, I was not really entered the room, but I was just peeking corridors and reception room.
turning, what initially was surprised soon became wonder, especially in contact with some of the rooms and the cellar. Beautiful is the right superlative to make you understand what you go to if you decide against going to see Mr. Flavio and his sons.
My attention was a bit 'mundane, drawn from the main hall where the immense brazier to view (and the fireplace) is the leading actor in this historical context. The maximum is reached, in my opinion, one of the many lounges scattered throughout the structure, colors, pictures, furniture and the only round table in the middle of the room, creates the feeling of a royal ambience.
At this point I doubt that has arisen in a similar room, the accounts were as gifts because the atmosphere and, with the portfolio in step with the generation of the famous 1000 film, I started to joke about it with the son of Mr. Flavio. Here the second positive shock to the eyes of ginning and Toto Schillaci of Italy at the time 90. Flavio, Jr., in fact, at my second touch of irony to me Honestly look at the menu ... my attention was drawn to the dishes that most prices, but because I could see the smug face of the young shoot, I tried to focus on the boring numbers and found that with an average of forty euro each you eat all right ... Indeed , I would say that you binge! The wines, of course, are excluded. ... Of course if you get the Amarone and Brunello then do not complain that my words were not real! In a nutshell, if you are boyfriends or husbands, lovers, wild playboy or, simply, do you like the elegance of sustainable ... (as the term sustainable is so abused that something more sustainable, one less ...) ... La Locanda the Court is the restaurant for you.
That said, I always come back to mind the words of my grandfather, who was a sailor, always told me that a restaurant does not evaluate ever-looking, but from what they give you to eat. On this point, the third and final big surprise ... If you enjoy the traditional cuisine, combined with the familiar atmosphere, the Inn of Court eat divinely. What?? The list is endless and subject to change monthly. Of all the dishes tasted and beds, to say that my honorable mention in the menu type deserve the mushrooms on a fondue of cheese, the round gold (ravioli Strachitund) cream of cheese, sliced Springbuk (ie the South African antelope) cooked on a brazier in sight and, finally, pears cooked in Barolo wine with cinnamon whipped cream.
Now, to round off a visit to the inn, I'd like to point out that the wave of youth met by the sons of Mr.. Mazzilli led the organization to create a number of theme nights, from beer festivals (with brazier and rivers of beer) to the feast of Florence, through the musical evenings at customers' request, to the more traditional dinner banquet organized corporate, weddings and other events. In summer, the courtyard becomes a value added for outdoor drinks and toast.
